Refrigerants & Air-Source Heat Pump Chillers

We will review the updates to the new Michigan refrigerant legislation and the refrigerants available for different types of equipment. This will also include phase-down dates for OEM’s to abide by. In the second part of the presentation, we will walk through Air Source Heat Pump Chiller technology and discuss the benefits of this equipment along with the do’s and don’ts as it comes to design and implication to new and existing facilities.

Spencer graduated from The Virginia Military Institute with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2012. He has been with Johnson Controls for 13 years. Part of his tenure has been a part of the chiller product management team, where he managed the YMC², mag bearing centrifugal chiller, globally. Another critical role with his tenure has been a Regional Subject Matter Expert on chillers for North America. This team is responsible for ensuring that the Johnson Controls chiller portfolio, both water and air-cooled chillers, meets the current and future customers' requirements. Currently, Spencer has joined the Detroit Sales Team, where he serves as the Johnson Controls Equipment and Controls sales engineer for Mechanical Engineering Firms.
